Energy Efficiency Incentives

*To qualify for rebates your main heat source must be from an electric heat and or heat pump. Gas or propane heat systems are not eligible.

Tanner Electric Cooperative Company offers Incentives for replacing windows and doors in site-built and manufactured homes with Energy Star-qualified products. Projects must be completed by a qualified window contractor.

• Homes must have pre-existing windows that are single pane, single pain with storm windows or double pane with metal frames. New windows must have a National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) rated U-value of 0.30 of lower or .22 or lower.

• New sliding glass doors shall have a NFRC rated U-value of 0.35 or lower or 0.30 or lower.
• Existing exterior doors must be uninsulated substandard doors.
• The incentives range from $6 to $8 a square foot of windows replaced.
• The incentive for exterior doors is $40.

Site-built homes, manufactured homes and multifamily building are eligible for additional ceiling and floor insulation installed by a licensed and bonded contractor that increases the R Value for the living space.

The incentives depend on the additional insulation added to the existing R Value of the ceiling and/or floor. They start at 6 cents a square foot of insulation installed up to $2 a square foot of insulation installed. A BPA qualified contractor must be used from the list provided below.

The Heat Pump program helps reduce residential members' heating costs and improve their homes. Electric heating costs can be reduced by 25% to 50%, plus customers receive the added bonus of air conditioning. Below is a list of the current rebates offered by your energy partners, Bonneville Power and Tanner Electric Cooperative.

Before installing any upgrade ensure the new unit is on the qualified list for reimbursement and the contractor meets the eligibility requirements by contacting  Units installed that do not meet all the Bonneville Power requirements are not eligible for reimbursements. Residents with gas or propane as the main heat source are not eligible. If you have a unit installed without proper pre-authorization or certification or do not use a qualified technician, it will compromise the eligibility for reimbursement.

Trained Ductless Heat Pump contractors must install the equipment.

The goal of this program is to help customers reduce their electric water heating costs. Heat Pump Water Heaters can reduce your water heating costs up to 50%.

The incentives to install Heat Pump Water Heaters range from $700- $1,100 depending on the size of the unit installed.
